Meet the Team

R&R Events has been creating, managing and executing corporate and social events for 28+ years in the mid-Atlantic region. Based in Baltimore, our showcase event planning and management skills are spotlighted during events like the Fourth of July and New Year’s Eve celebrations at Baltimore’s famed Inner Harbor. Our portfolio includes galas, such as that of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and sporting events like the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and various events for the Baltimore Ravens.

At R&R Events, our forte is not just grand events, but grand ideas for small events. We specialize in creating a spectacular, one-of-a-kind atmosphere for every occasion – whether it is an employee appreciation party, bar mitzvah, wedding, anniversary, store opening or civic ceremony.

Our Philosophy

Events represent milestones. Milestones, like weddings, come around but once in a lifetime. At R&R Events we are not only the dream weavers, but also keepers – you entrust to us your most prized possession – the memories of a lifetime.

We also recognize that as your design and event management team, you entrust your reputation to us. Our goal is to make your event a flawless, fully engaging experience for your guests.

The Huddle

Ralph Rizzo, President/Founder

Over the years, Ralph has been known by locals as the “Master of Merriment,” “Man Behind the Curtain” and “Ralph, the Sound Guy.” They are all true. Ralph did begin his career in sound and audio engineering but his talents and innate creativity expanded his business into a full-service event planning organization providing everything from concepts and applications in theme décor, with customized backdrops and sets, to organizing sports and outdoor festivals, galas, corporate themed events and unique custom one-of-a-kind builds.

A self-taught carpenter and metal worker, Ralph is a veritable how-to show in the making for designing and creating one-of-a-kind sets and props for client events. He has been recognized by various organizations for his design concepts and he has been featured on local area television and in publications such as the Baltimore Business Journal and Baltimore Magazine. and Whose Wedding Is It Anyway.

A Baltimore native, Ralph executes events on behalf of clients all over the region – from the Baltimore Ravens to various corporate functions, the 1995 Papal visit, celebrity events, White House functions to the Army-Navy gala and festivities. He also makes dreams come true for prom goers, bar/bat mitzvah celebrants, brides (and their mothers!) among others. Ralph is a memory-maker for every generation.

Duct tape in hand, with his muse and faithful Dogo Argentino mix, Marly, and the spirit of Jabo, by his side, Ralph is one CEO who’s not afraid of a little hard work to take every event over the top.

Tally Johnstone– Design and Production

Tally is excited to be joining R & R Events as their Creative Operations Director. She is a seasoned professional with experience behind the scenes designing, fabricating and producing events both large and small.  Crafting and creativity have always gone hand in hand for her.  She has a deep rooted love of fabric and flowers that go back to her youth when she helped her mother sew and her father garden.  She is looking forward to stretching her creative skills to create unique events that blend the client’s vision and state of the art design. When she is not in a ballroom or under an event tent, she is tending her small dairy goat herd and making fresh cheese.

Carly Greenberg – Sales and Marketing

Carly brings experience and passion to the Sales and Marketing position. A Baltimore native and active member of the community,  Carly is thrilled to connect with prospective clients while making a difference in people’s lives.  She loves meeting with families during the exciting time of planning their child’s Mitzvah celebration, working with non-profit organizations to execute fundraisers and creating a vision for corporate clients who are looking to make their events fun, creative and flawless.  Following one Prom Committee meeting with a Hotel Sales Manager in 1999 Carly knew instantly that she wanted to pursue a career in Event Planning.  After earning a degree in Mass Communications from Towson University, Carly has spent the past several years in Event Management and Sales in the hospitality industry.  Carly loves being a Mom to her two future Bat Mitzvah clients, Blake and Madelyn Harlow,  and being a supportive wife to her husband, Jeff, who does not yet know that she set up a secret Bat Mitzvah Party savings account for each daughter the day they were born. R&R Events welcome’s Carly to the Imagination Station, as one of our Imagination Specialists.
