State, county and municipal events are unique unto themselves. With public funding, political personalities and permanent first-impressions all rolled into one, it takes a special hand to manage expectations from all quadrants. We understand this.


The Process
R&R Events was the vendor of choice in the production and management of the Michael Phelps/Maryland Olympic Heroes event at Ft. McHenry – bridging the desires of state, county and city officials within the parameters of the US Olympic Committee, the park service and private entities. Ralph Rizzo, president of R&R Events directed the entire production hosted by Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush. R&R Events coordinates the production of Baltimore City’s famous fireworks spectacular every New Year’s Eve & Fourth of July and have done for over 21 years. Our Memorial Day veterans work for a local county, colorful local festivals and marathons underscore our ability to marry great event-making with good old-fashioned compromise so that everyone comes out a winner.

From podiums to auxiliary power R&R knows every piece of equipment available and can manage the toughest personalities under pressure. The Production
R&R Events can create, manage, locate vendors, set-up, break-down – we even mend fences and navigate public service landmines. Sometimes we even break the ice – at no extra charge.

Corporate America is particular about how it is represented and events of any kind can be the most expensive form of branding, from logo representation to the first impression at the front entrance of an event. Building brands, relationships, and a strong team is part of that. R&R Events becomes an extension of your executive team when you hire us to help plan your event.


The Process

We talk to you about your goals — and we build our event plan around those. Do you have a picky board of directors? A commission that has high expectations? Trying to motivate your employees? Fear no more. R&R Events is accustomed to working with the highest level executive expectations & operations. After all, we’ve done events like the Ravens’ 2013 Superbowl Party & Ring Ceremony, Annie E. Casey’s 2013 &2014 Holiday Parties, Sailabration, 2014 Army Navy events, private and personal events for VIPs and entertainers! No matter how big or small, the process is the same.

We revel in challenges. We expect your boss to change his or her mind. From golf tournaments and employee appreciation parties to off-site conferences to press conferences, R&R Events is the “Gumby” of event planning companies. We are flexible and sometimes we even anticipate changes before YOU do. We’re not psychic — we just have a lot of experience with this kind of thing!

The Production
If you need us to, we set up the event, remain on location if necessary and break down afterwards. We run interference on unforeseen, potential event hazards — rain, an unexpected bout of cold weather, or anxious colleagues and superiors. “Mitigation” is our middle name.


Non-Profit

Professional fundraisers understand that there is a science to getting corporations and individuals to part with their money. R&R Events also knows that many of the folks who work on these fundraising/non-profit events are volunteers themselves – and often the fundraisers are done by committee – that’s a lot of opinions.

R&R Events has helped the Kennedy Krieger Institute with their largest annual fundraiser, Festival of Trees, for well over a decade. The largest holiday-themed event in the Mid-Atlantic, with no less than 500 Christmas trees, decorated gingerbread houses and wreathes and 35,000 attendees, R&R Events has been in the middle of all of that tinsel to help Kennedy Krieger reach their fundraising goals. We’ve created vignettes for silent auctions at the Ravens All Team Sports Gala and completely themed-out the silent auction tables and environment for Sail Baltimore’s annual fundraiser, Beer, Boats & Ballads. From Casey Cares and the VH-1 Save the Music Foundation concert to Baltimore Symphony black-tie galas, our team has transformed environments, worked within budgets and helped turn a profit for a lot of good causes.
